Among compositions for many different instruments, including folk music instruments from Azerbeidjan, Franghis Ali-Zadeh also has written music for piano and for prepared piano, songs, piano chamber music and two piano concertos (if we include the "IMPROMPTU-CROSSINGS" for prepared piano, five azerbaidzhani folk instruments and chamber orchestra to this genre).

Frank Martin wrote a considerable amount of piano music, a couple of piano concertos and chamber music with piano. His most played piano pieces are his wonderful "8 Preludes", written in 1947/48. They were written for pianist Dinu Lipatti. Unfortunately, he died before being able to perform them.

During his entire career Joaquín Turina continued to compose music for piano. His large oeuvre for piano begins with the Piano Quintet Op.1 and ends with three piano solo pieces for the small cycle "Desde mi teraza" Op.104 (1947). In between he composed more than 80 works for piano solo, piano chamber music and many songs.

Germaine Tailleferre was an extraordinarily inspired composer who for nearly a century was able to remain true to her own musical language. At a young age, she was the only female member of the "Groupe des Six."

Tailleferre composed more than 30 piano pieces (solo & duo), several works for piano & orchestra and many piano chamber music compositions.
